NuRAN Wireless Secures US$ 1M from FEI to Boost African Operations
NuRAN Wireless Inc., a noted provider of mobile and broadband wireless infrastructure, has announced a third drawdown of US$ 1 million from the Facility for Energy Inclusion (FEI), managed by Cygnum Capital. This funding is part of a US$ 5 million loan facility agreement to support its projects in Africa.
The latest draw follows prior disbursements totaling US$ 3.55 million since 2024. The funds aim to facilitate expansion and operations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in line with a recent amendment with Orange and the approval of its infrastructure license. The remaining US$ 450,000 will be released upon meeting site delivery conditions.
NuRAN plans to use these funds to enhance its network-as-a-service (NaaS) model, expanding mobile infrastructure in rural Africa, which aligns with its 2025 strategic goal to connect thousands across sub-Saharan regions.
