Nscale Acquires AIPCorp to Enhance AI Infrastructure
On March 16, 2026, Nscale announced the acquisition of American Intelligence & Power Corporation (AIPCorp), expanding its presence in the AI infrastructure sector. This move includes the acquisition of the Monarch Compute Campus in West Virginia, set to become one of the largest AI facilities globally.
The Monarch Compute Campus offers up to 2,250 acres with a unique AI microgrid, capable of expanding to over 8 gigawatts. The site supports Nscale's goal to address AI infrastructure demand in the United States. An initial power capacity of 2 gigawatts is expected by 2028, with plans to reach 8 gigawatts by 2031.
To support its growth, Nscale has introduced a new division, Nscale Energy & Power, led by Daniel Shapiro and Bengt Jarlsjo. AIPCorp’s experienced team will join Nscale, further aiding its global expansion.
