North Shore Concludes Initial Phase of Drilling at Rio Puerco

North Shore Uranium Ltd. has announced the completion of Phase 1 of its inaugural drilling initiative at the Rio Puerco uranium project, located in the Grants Uranium District of New Mexico. A total of 13 rotary drill holes spanning 2,828 meters have been successfully completed. Currently, the company is reviewing the results from this phase to enhance target confirmation for the forthcoming Phase 2, projected to commence in Q4 2026 post the summer monsoon.

Each drill site was meticulously chosen as a continuation of past exploratory efforts by Kerr-McGee Mining Corporation during the 1960s and 1970s. Data collected, including gamma ray and resistivity measurements, aim to assess uranium mineralization within the sedimentary layers and validate historical exploration data.

The project's core objective is to reinvigorate uranium exploration in New Mexico, leveraging its historical mining background amidst growing demand for uranium driven by nuclear power developments. Results from this initial phase of exploration are awaited with keen interest, potentially setting the stage for further exploration activities by North Shore.
