Nordic Semiconductor Enhances nRF54L Series with New Bluetooth LE SoCs
On March 9, 2026, Nordic Semiconductor introduced the nRF54LS05A and nRF54LS05B, expanding its nRF54L Series with entry-level Bluetooth LE SoCs. These new systems-on-chip cater to cost-sensitive Bluetooth LE products, offering robust connectivity and low power consumption. Their design and features aim to support the development of simple applications like sensors and remotes.
The SoCs incorporate a 128 MHz Arm Cortex M33 processor, providing efficient processing with low-leakage RAM for ultra-low-power designs. The nRF54LS05A features 64 KB of RAM, while the nRF54LS05B offers 96 KB of RAM for applications requiring more memory. Available for evaluation and expected for production in Q3 2026, these chips promise a smooth transition for developers familiar with Nordic's ecosystem.
The announcement highlights Nordic's commitment to open, scalable solutions with their Bluetooth LE stack and nRF Connect SDK. Through these, developers can fast-track development and leverage cloud-based support for secure product deployment.
