Nordex Secures 435 MW Wind Turbine Order from UKA in Germany

The Nordex Group announces that it has received a significant order from UKA, a wind and solar farm developer, for a total of 64 wind turbines in Germany. This includes 52 N175/6.X turbines and 12 N163/6.X turbines, reaching a combined capacity of 435.2 MW. These orders fall under an existing framework agreement between Nordex and UKA, ensuring premium service for turbine maintenance over 20 years.
The projects, utilizing N175/6.X turbines on 179-meter hybrid towers, will be distributed across 15 wind farms in states such as Brandenburg and Thuringia. Construction and commissioning are planned for 2026 and 2027. Nordex CEO, José Luis Blanco, emphasizes the importance of this milestone for their partnership with UKA, as well as their collective role in supporting Germany’s renewable energy expansion.
Gernot Gauglitz, CEO of UKA, highlights the firm's commitment to the energy transition, having ordered 226 turbines with a capacity exceeding 1.5 GW over 18 months. Gauglitz notes the cooperative efforts between UKA and Nordex, spurred by favorable policies, as crucial to these advancements.
