NOA Lithium Brines Inc. Partners with Hatch for Process Study
NOA Lithium Brines Inc. has appointed Hatch Limited to lead a Process Development Study for its Rio Grande Project in Salta, Argentina. Hatch, known for its expertise in lithium brine processing, will compare the current evaporation pond flowsheet with alternative configurations using direct lithium extraction (DLE) technology. The study will occur in two stages, including DLE testwork and developing process design parameters. Results are expected by Q3 2026. The study aims to optimize processes and support the upcoming preliminary feasibility study (PFS).
Gabriel Rubacha, CEO of NOA, emphasizes the study's role in refining development strategies for the Rio Grande Project. The project, with a significant lithium resource estimate, marks another step towards a robust PFS design basis. NOA's strategic position in the Lithium Triangle and its extensive portfolio enhance its growth potential in the lithium industry.
