Nexans and Hydro join forces for a low-carbon aluminum supply

Nexans and Hydro have signed a five-year agreement to supply 85,000 tonnes of low-carbon aluminum wire rod. This agreement supports the modernization and decarbonization of European electricity infrastructure. The aluminum, produced using renewable energy in Norway, will be used by Nexans for power cables destined for European electricity grids.

This partnership addresses the growing demand for modern infrastructure and supports the continent's energy transition. By strengthening the security of supply of sustainable materials, Nexans and Hydro are responding to carbon regulatory challenges and supply chain pressures.
