Newsmax to Join Russell 2000 and Russell 3000 Indexes
Newsmax Inc., a prominent television and digital media company, will soon be part of the U.S. small-cap Russell 2000® Index. This inclusion will take effect on June 30, 2025, following the reconstitution of Russell indexes. Being a member of the Russell 3000® Index, Newsmax automatically gains entry into either the large-cap Russell 1000® or the small-cap Russell 2000® Index, depending on market capitalization and style attributes.
Newsmax's CEO, Chris Ruddy, expressed satisfaction with this development, noting its potential impact on raising awareness and institutional investment. Newsmax, which recently expanded its reach through platforms like Hulu+, aims to enhance its presence in approximately 60 million U.S. homes.
FTSE Russell, which oversees these indexes, is a leading global index provider used by investment managers worldwide. Its indexes serve as benchmarks, with approximately $10.6 trillion in assets benchmarked against them.
