DN Group AG Invests in WINDWISE to Boost Portfolio and Energy Transition

DN Group AG has acquired a 20% stake in WINDWISE GmbH, enhancing its portfolio with a focus on renewable energy. This acquisition was achieved through a capital increase, as WINDWISE specializes in baseload-optimized wind turbines. These turbines offer higher grid utilization with over 4,000 full-load hours annually, outperforming standard models. WINDWISE is also considering transitioning to a public limited company, with DN Group acting as a strategic advisor.

The new investment targets decentralized sites with limited grid capacity and fosters plans to erect over 100 wind turbines by 2030. Notably, WINDWISE’s ESG score of 44 points in DN Group’s Venture Impact Assessment surpassed the requisite 25-point investment threshold. According to DN Group CEO Ole Nixdorff, the investment underscores a commitment to the energy transition, coupling ecological needs with attractive profitability.
