Neoen Commences Construction of New Solar Projects in Ireland

Neoen has initiated the construction of two solar farms in Ireland, nearly doubling its solar capacity in the country. The 162 MWp Garr Solar Farm in County Offaly and the 33 MWp Johnstown North Solar Farm in County Wicklow mark a significant step forward for Neoen’s operations.

Garr Solar Farm is set to be one of Ireland's largest solar farms, capable of powering over 38,000 homes and is expected to prevent emissions equivalent to 51,000 tonnes of CO2 annually. Johnstown North will cater to around 8,000 homes and avert 10,500 tonnes of CO2 annually, with operations scheduled for 2028.

This development increases Neoen's operations in Ireland to 410 MW. The company emphasizes community benefits and sustainable practices, with commitments to Ireland’s renewable targets.
