Nano One Progresses with Candiac LFP Expansion
Nano One Materials Corp. has announced significant progress in its lithium iron phosphate (LFP) production capacity expansion at its Candiac facility. The project aims to increase capacity to 800 tonnes per annum by the first half of 2027. Detailed engineering has surpassed the 25% completion mark and is on track for July 2026 completion. Key equipment orders have been placed with suppliers in France, Germany, and other countries, moving the project closer to construction readiness.
Chief Operating Officer Denis Geoffroy expressed confidence in the project’s timely and budgeted completion. Additionally, procurement efforts are expected to bolster Nano One’s future licensing and technology offers. The Candiac facility, featuring multiple One-Pot™ production lines, is pivotal for technology development and scale-up.
This expansion strategy also involves the integration and automation of a 20m³ reactor, setting the groundwork for enhanced commercial production and supporting larger-scale industry collaborations.
