Namibia Critical Metals Strengthens Leadership for Lofdal Project

Namibia Critical Metals Inc. (NCMI) has appointed Niels Verbaan as Vice President, Metallurgy, to lead the metallurgical development of the Lofdal Heavy Rare Earth Project in Namibia. Verbaan's expertise in hydrometallurgical process development, with over 25 years of experience, positions him ideally for advancing Lofdal's complex flowsheets.

Verbaan, previously Senior Director at SGS Lakefield, will oversee test work, flowsheet development, and optimization at Lofdal. The focus will be on maximizing recovery of key rare earth elements, dysprosium and terbium.

NCMI President Darrin Campbell commented on Verbaan's strategic importance to the project's advancement, particularly in collaboration with Japanese partners. The Lofdal Project holds potential as a significant future supplier for global magnet supply chains.
