Mutares to Sell Clecim to Fouré Lagadec

Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has received an irrevocable offer from Fouré Lagadec, part of SNEF Group, to acquire its portfolio company Clecim. Clecim, a provider of steel processing line solutions, reports revenues of approximately EUR 55 million and employs around 200 people. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025, following consultation with relevant works councils and fulfillment of customary conditions.

Since its carve-out from Primetals Technologies Group in 2021, Clecim has focused on transformation and optimization. Under CEO Thomas Comte, the company improved its cost structure, enhanced performance, and diversified into new markets such as defense and energy. Johannes Laumann, CIO of Mutares, notes that the sale aligns with Mutares' strategy of enhancing portfolio value and positions Clecim for global expansion.
