Mutares to Acquire TREPEL and MAFI from NDW Maschinenbau

Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has announced an agreement to acquire TREPEL Airport Equipment GmbH and MAFI Transport-Systeme GmbH from NDW Maschinenbau Holding GmbH. This acquisition aims to enhance Mutares' Infrastructure & Special Industries segment by incorporating reputable brands in ground support and heavy-duty transport solutions. The transaction is expected to close in Q3 2026.

TREPEL focuses on aircraft tractors and cargo loaders for aviation, while MAFI specializes in terminal tractors used in ports and logistics. Operating globally across over 115 countries, the companies generate approximately EUR 150 million in revenues. They employ about 410 people, with a growing service sector contributing around 12% of total revenues, offering recurring income potential.

Johannes Laumann, Mutares' CIO, emphasized the acquisition's potential to improve operations and profitability, developing the businesses into leading platforms in their respective markets.
