Mutares Sells LiBCycle to Reverse Logistics Group
Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has announced the successful sale of LiBCycle, part of the inTime Group, to Reverse Logistics Group by Reconomy. The transaction was completed on January 14, 2026. LiBCycle, noted for its logistics solutions for lithium-ion batteries, generated EUR 4.1 million in revenue in 2025. RLG aims to expand LiBCycle within its circular economy portfolio.
LiBCycle operates over 30 cross-docking facilities in Europe, serving leading OEMs and battery recyclers. Mutares has sold its 51% stake, while the founders retain 49%, partnering with RLG for future growth. Johannes Laumann from Mutares highlights LiBCycle as a model of building a scalable business in an essential market. Mutares, a private equity firm, focuses on transforming businesses for resale.
