Mutares Agrees to Sell Natura sp. z o.o. to Grupa Specjał
Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has signed a term sheet to sell its Polish drugstore chain, Natura sp. z o.o., to Grupa Specjał. This transaction aligns with Mutares' strategy of reducing its retail segment exposure. Grupa Specjał, a prominent FMCG wholesale and retail group based in Rzeszów, is slated to acquire Natura, pending approval from Polish competition authorities in Q4 2026.
Natura operates over 190 stores and an expanding e-commerce platform. The sale follows Mutares' comprehensive transformation program implemented since acquiring Natura in 2024. Mutares' measures included logistics adjustments and optimizing the store network for profitability.
Specjał's large-scale operations promise synergistic benefits for Natura, enhancing its logistic support and retail reach. Mutares' CIO, Johannes Laumann, emphasized that this sale marks a significant milestone toward achieving Mutares' strategic goals.
