Mutares Completes Acquisition of Wärtsilä's Gas Solutions Business

Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has finalized the acquisition of the Gas Solutions division from Wärtsilä, enhancing its hold in the energy transition and marine technology sectors. This strategic acquisition bolsters Mutares’ portfolio, particularly in the Energy & Technology segment, marking another significant investment in the Nordics.

The acquired unit is a leader in systems for cargo handling, fuel supply, and various gas solutions, generating approximately EUR 394 million in 2025. With operations across Europe and Asia, it is positioned at the forefront of the energy shift.

This acquisition aligns with global trends in energy security, LNG infrastructure, and decarbonization, reflecting the rising demand for cleaner transition fuels and resilient energy supply chains. Mutares anticipates leveraging these trends for substantial long-term growth opportunities.
