Mutares Acquires Two Businesses from Magna to Bolster Growth
Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has announced agreements to acquire two supplier businesses from Magna, aiming to strengthen its Amaneos and HiLo Group. These acquisitions, expected to close in Q2 2026, will enhance Mutares' capabilities in the automotive sector, specifically in exterior, lighting, and roof systems.
The European automotive lighting business from Magna will be integrated into the Amaneos Group, generating an estimated USD 235 million in revenues in 2025. This move will create a comprehensive exterior systems platform, improving product differentiation and value addition.
In tandem, Mutares will acquire Magna's car top systems business, projected to generate USD 85 million in 2025. This acquisition will augment the HiLo Group's expertise, integrating roof architectures with existing systems to offer enhanced solutions.
