Mohamed Ouédraogo transfers to Olympique Lyonnais

Olympique Lyonnais have officially announced the arrival of Mohamed Ouédraogo, a Burkinabe international defender, from SCR Altach, on a five-year contract until 2031. The transfer fee is €2.2 million, with potential bonuses of €0.6 million. A 10% sell-on clause is also included.

Trained at Majestic SC in Burkina Faso, 23-year-old Ouédraogo joined SCR Altach in 2023. During the 2025/2026 season, he distinguished himself with 35 appearances, 4 goals, and 3 assists. His performances earned him 9 caps for the national team.

Lyon see him as a defender with great potential, and he is the club's fourth summer signing. Ouédraogo expressed his joy at signing for Lyon, highlighting the influence of his father, a former big supporter of the Lyon team.
