Ground-breaking Ceremony for Nordbau's 122 Apartments

Mobimo Holding AG, in collaboration with local government representatives and project partners, has initiated the final expansion phase of the Aeschbachquartier in Aarau. The conversion of the former Rockwell production building marks an important urban development.

The project, designed by Schneider & Schneider Architekten, includes 122 rental apartments and commercial space. The housing options range from compact units to family-sized apartments, catering to diverse residential needs. This complements the existing facilities in the Aeschbachquartier.

The Nordbau project retains elements of the site's industrial history while introducing sustainable living solutions compliant with the Minergie ECO standard. Photovoltaic installations and district heating are incorporated, aiming at energy efficiency. The development also includes outdoor spaces featuring native plants and new pathways.

Construction completion and apartment occupation are set for the second half of 2028, with leasing activities starting early that year.
