Midea's PortaSplit Air Conditioner Recognized by TIME

Midea's PortaSplit air conditioner has been nominated as one of TIME magazine's "Best Inventions of 2025." Celebrated for its innovative approach, PortaSplit offers tool-free installation and compatibility with most European windows. This makes it a convenient solution for those who cannot afford traditional split systems or are restricted by installation regulations.

Aside from providing efficient cooling, PortaSplit also functions as an air-to-air heat pump, presenting a cost-effective alternative to fossil fuel or electric heating. Following a successful launch in Germany, where it sold out for two consecutive summers, the product is expanding into other European countries, including France and Italy.

Combining German engineering and Italian design, PortaSplit exemplifies Midea's "local for local" strategy. Its recognition by TIME underscores the success of this approach and hints at future European innovations.
