Metro Bank Holdings PLC Announces Board Changes
Metro Bank Holdings PLC has announced the appointment of Matthew Stevens as a Non-Executive Director, effective 1 February 2027. Stevens, who has over 30 years of experience in the banking sector, will leave his position as Chief Risk Officer at Barclays UK before joining Metro Bank. His extensive experience in risk management is expected to support Metro Bank's strategic growth.
The announcement also confirms the departure of Catherine Brown, who will not seek re-election at the 2027 Annual General Meeting. Brown, the Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Risk Oversight Committee since 2018, will be succeeded by Stevens subject to regulatory approval. Brown is credited for her substantial contributions to the Board during her tenure.
Metro Bank Chair Robert Sharpe expressed gratitude for Brown’s service and welcomed Stevens' upcoming contributions, highlighting his valuable risk management insights.
