Georgiamune and Menarini Forge Global Partnership for GIM-621
Georgiamune Inc. and the Menarini Group announced an exclusive global license and collaboration agreement for GIM-621, an oral immuno-oncology agent. GIM-621, still in preclinical testing, shows promise for treating multiple solid tumors. The deal allows Stemline Therapeutics, a Menarini subsidiary, to develop and commercialize the molecule globally.
The agreement includes $45 million in upfront and near-term payments to Georgiamune, potentially reaching a total value of $1.1 billion with milestones and royalties. Menarini leverages its global oncology capabilities, whereas Georgiamune focuses on expanding its therapeutic pipeline.
Both companies emphasize the collaborative potential to advance cancer treatments and improve patient outcomes worldwide through this partnership.
