McFarlane Lake Mining Uncovers High-Grade Gold Below McMillan Mine
McFarlane Lake Mining Limited reported promising gold assay results from its recent drilling program at the McMillan Mine property, located west of Sudbury, Ontario. Drill hole MLMM-25-11 revealed a 29.5-meter intersection with 1.3 grams per tonne (gpt) gold, including a high-grade core with 6.6 gpt gold over 4.55 meters, reaching 20.1 gpt gold over 1.45 meters approximately 200 meters below the surface. This suggests significant potential for gold mineralization in this area.
In addition, a geophysical electromagnetic "superconductor" was identified near MLMM-25-11, with plans for further testing through future diamond drilling. This discovery, alongside new EM plates found off hole MLMM-25-09, suggests the possibility of extending gold mineralization to the west and at depth. These findings point to the untapped potential along the House Lake Fault system, which extends for over seven kilometers.
