Mauna Kea Technologies Highlights Meta-Analysis on Cellvizio's Clinical Impact

Mauna Kea Technologies revealed a significant meta-analysis demonstrating the diagnostic accuracy of their Cellvizio platform in upper gastrointestinal cancer. This study, supported by Korea's NECA, analyzed data from 33 studies with 2,350 patients.

The research showed Cellvizio's ability to significantly enhance dysplasia detection in Barrett's esophagus, nearly tripling detection rates and reducing biopsies by 48.5% per patient. For gastric adenocarcinoma, pCLE-guided biopsies identified malignant tissues more effectively than standard methods.

The authors, unaffiliated with Mauna Kea, affirmed the safety and accuracy of pCLE as an adjunct to traditional endoscopy, especially for subtle lesions. These results support its use in clinical and reimbursement pathways worldwide, highlighting its potential to improve patient outcomes.
