LUYUAN Launches European R&D Hub in Munich Focused on Localization
LUYUAN Group, a prominent electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has launched its European R&D and Innovation Center in Munich, Germany. Announced at the 2026 LUYUAN Overseas Partners Conference in Shanghai, the center is managed by EPP Engineering and collaborates with local partners like BMW. This marks a key step in LUYUAN's strategy combining Chinese R&D with German engineering.
The Munich center specializes in product development, engineering validation, and EU certification, supporting LUYUAN's e-mobility range to ensure compliance with European standards. According to Matthias Bluemel of EPP Engineering, the focus is on transforming advanced technology into a trusted brand in Europe.
LUYUAN's CEO, HU Jihong, highlighted the shift from product export to capability export, emphasizing that the Munich hub strengthens local service response and quality. This center is one of six global innovation hubs aiming to deliver reliable mobility solutions tailored to local markets.
