Ludwig Beck Reports Decline in Sales for First Half of 2026
Munich, July 28, 2026 – Ludwig Beck AG has announced its half-year financial results, revealing a 1.9% drop in gross sales to €37.1m compared to last year. The decline is attributed to a challenging start in 2026, exacerbated by cool weather affecting spring and summer fashion sales, and consumer sentiment dampened by economic uncertainties.
The company's "textile" segment reported sales of €28.6m, while "non-textile" items brought in €8.5m. Online sales also saw a downturn. Despite reduced sales, other operating incomes slightly increased to €2.0m, while operating expenses decreased marginally.
Ludwig Beck's EBIT was recorded at €-0.8m, showing a minor improvement from the previous year's €-1.0m. Looking ahead, the company remains optimistic about potential gains during Munich’s Oktoberfest. Full details are available on their website.
