Hans Trees Appointed as Lonza's Global Head of Communications

Lonza Group AG announced the appointment of Hans Trees as the new Global Head of Communications, effective September 1, 2026. He will also hold the position of Senior Vice President and join the Extended Executive Committee. Trees succeeds David Carter, who has led the communications function since 2019.

Hans Trees brings extensive experience to Lonza, having previously served as Roche's Global Head of External Engagement. His career at Roche spanned 11 years, where he held various leadership roles within the Pharmaceuticals Division and Group functions. Before Roche, Trees worked with AON in management consulting and Rothschild in investment banking. He is a graduate of the University of Cambridge, the London School of Economics, and the University of Durham.

Lonza CEO Wolfgang Wienand expressed confidence in Trees' ability to contribute to the "One Lonza" strategy, highlighting his expertise in communication and strategy.
