Lithium South Reschedules Closing Due to Cease Trade Order
Lithium South Development Corp. has announced the rescheduling of its Plan of Arrangement closing following a cease trade order (CTO) issued by the British Columbia Securities Commission. The order, effective May 11, 2026, arose because the Company failed to file its annual financial statements for the year ending December 31, 2025. The TSX Venture Exchange subsequently suspended trading in the Company's securities on May 12, 2026.
The delay in the filing was attributed to the late receipt of certain foreign documents needed for the 2025 audit. These documents have now been obtained, and the Company is working to lift the CTO, aiming to file the necessary documents shortly. The revised closing date for the Plan of Arrangement is set for May 22, 2026, pending the resolution of the trade suspension.
