New Battery Storage Venture at Finsterwalde/Massen Site
LION Smart, Renoc Alternative Energien, and Stadtwerke Finsterwalde have partnered to form BESS Finsterwalde Massen Energie GmbH. This joint company will oversee a 5 MW battery storage system at the Finsterwalde/Massen site in Brandenburg. Comprising four BESS containers, the initiative aims to enhance local energy infrastructures and foster regional investment.
Renoc Alternative Energien acts as the primary initiator, while LION Smart provides technical expertise, handling system integration and operation. Stadtwerke Finsterwalde leverages its local energy sector experience. The collaboration is a strategic move to develop further projects, signifying a commitment to innovative energy solutions.
The operational focus is on the seamless interaction of technical components to ensure efficient commercialisation. This project marks a significant advancement in battery storage for local utilities, aligning with evolving energy needs and supporting sustainable growth.
