Lenzing Demonstrates Revenue and Earnings Growth Amid Market Challenges
Lenzing AG announced a revenue increase of 4.8% to EUR 690.2 million in Q1 2025 despite a slow global textile market recovery. EBITDA rose significantly by 118.8% to EUR 156.1 million, bolstered by special effects like the sale of surplus EU emission certificates. The post-tax result returned to positive territory at EUR 31.7 million.
CEO Rohit Aggarwal highlighted the success of Lenzing's performance program in enhancing business resilience and agility. However, geopolitical uncertainties and aggressive trade tariffs pose risks to future earnings. The group remains committed to cost savings, with a target of over EUR 180 million annually from the current year onwards.
The Lenzing Group, known for producing regenerated cellulosic fibers, continues to focus on sustainable growth and expanding its market leadership, particularly in environmentally responsible fibers.
