LEGO Education Unveils Hands-on Computer Science & AI Solution
LEGO Education has announced a hands-on solution for teaching computer science and artificial intelligence (AI) in classrooms for students in years 1 to 9. The program is designed to support collaborative and creative learning, with complete kits available for different age groups. These are set to begin shipping in April 2026.
The introduction comes in response to a global report indicating that teachers struggle with engaging students in computer science and AI topics due to insufficient resources. LEGO Education aims to provide curriculum-aligned lessons that enhance computer science and AI literacy through interactive and collaborative activities.
Atish Gonsalves, Head of Product at LEGO Education, highlighted the vision of students learning in groups rather than isolated settings. The new curriculum integrates both screen-based and screen-free lessons with LEGO bricks and the LEGO Education Coding Canvas, facilitating a comprehensive learning approach.
