Leadership Transition at Applied DNA as CEO Dr. Hayward Retires
Applied DNA Sciences, Inc. has announced the retirement of Dr. James A. Hayward, Chairperson and CEO, effective June 18, 2025. Dr. Hayward has been pivotal in advancing the company's DNA production and detection technologies over his 20-year tenure.
The Board has appointed Judy Murrah as the new Chairperson and CEO. Murrah, who has been with Applied DNA for over a decade, has a strong background in product commercialization and business scaling. She was previously at Symbol Technologies and Motorola, where she played key roles in their corporate growth and transformation.
Board Director Robert C. Catell expressed gratitude to Dr. Hayward and confidence in Murrah's leadership to drive the company's future growth and shareholder value.
Murrah stated her focus on leveraging the company's strengths and improving operational efficiency in her new leadership roles.
