LDC Secures Court Approval for Acquisition of France Poultry
On 24 February 2026, the Rennes Commercial Court approved a settlement between LDC Group and Saudi-based ALMUNAJEM Group. This agreement enables LDC to acquire 100% of France Poultry's share capital by the end of 2026. Additionally, LDC will gain a 35.5% stake in YER BREIZH, France Poultry’s primary supplier, by mid-March 2026.
The acquisition aims to realign France Poultry’s operations by gradually shifting its export focus starting in 2027. The LDC Group plans to build a new poultry slaughterhouse to meet increased demand for French-origin chicken by early 2028. Support measures for employees and farmers will be implemented during this transition period.
This initiative is designed to bolster local production in Brittany, enhance the French poultry sector, and reduce import dependency amidst rising poultry consumption.
