Launch of the Alliance for Inclusive AI: Aiming for Global Equitable AI Development
On December 8, 2025, BFA Global, Caribou, and MSC announced the creation of the Alliance for Inclusive AI. This coalition seeks to ensure that the next wave of AI development expands opportunities globally. By 2030, the Alliance intends to deliver AI solutions to 100 million people and mobilize US$100 million in finance.
The Alliance addresses concerns about widening disparities due to AI, especially for countries lacking access to technology. Ajay Banga from the World Bank highlights the potential for 'small AI' to be impactful locally. The coalition focuses on financial inclusion, agriculture, climate resilience, and public services in the Global South.
Prateek Shrivastava emphasizes collaboration for meaningful AI infrastructure, and Jessica Osborn notes the importance of empowering emerging markets. The initiative revolves around six pillars, including adapting AI for low-resource environments and building local AI talent. Inviting diverse participants, the Alliance seeks to mitigate risks of marginalization due to digital disparities.
