Latvian Entrepreneurs Forge New Ties in Poland and Ukraine
Latvian entrepreneurs returned from a successful trade mission to Poland and Ukraine, orchestrated by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA). On April 24, several memoranda were signed in Kyiv, focusing on defence, technology, and energy sectors. These agreements pave the way for expanded export opportunities and cooperation between Latvian companies and Ukrainian counterparts, enhancing Ukraine's resilience and development.
The Minister of Economics, Viktors Valainis, highlighted the significant growth potential in trade and investment dynamics between Latvia and Ukraine. Notably, agreements with the Ukraine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Latvia, and others, underline cooperation in the defence industry, including joint projects and technology exchange.
Furthermore, memoranda between LIAA and Ukrainian business platforms emphasize practical business support, including partner identification and market access. In Poland, Latvian companies see strong potential in technology and energy collaborations, confirmed through engagements with Polish industries.
