Lahontan Gold Corp Begins NEPA Review for Santa Fe Exploration Plan
Lahontan Gold Corp has announced that its Exploration Plan of Operations (POO) has commenced the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) review, conducted by the Federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM). While the BLM typically takes up to six months for this process, Lahontan anticipates a faster completion due to existing preparatory work, such as a draft Environmental Assessment. Additionally, Lahontan has signed a Contributed Funds Agreement with the BLM, aiming to expedite the review by funding more personnel.
The POO, once approved, will enable extensive exploration drilling within the Santa Fe Mine Project area, potentially increasing gold and silver resources. Kimberly Ann, Lahontan's CEO, expressed enthusiasm about these developments, highlighting the potential for expanded mining opportunities.
