Lahontan Gold Corp. Acquires York Claims at Santa Fe
Lahontan Gold Corp., a Canadian mineral exploration company, has completed the acquisition of 27 unpatented lode mining claims, known as the York claims, from Emergent Metals Corp. These claims are positioned at the southeast corner of Lahontan's Santa Fe Mine Project in Nevada's Walker Lane. The acquisition is expected to enhance potential gold and silver resources.
The company aims to expand mineral resources in the area, reinforced by promising drill data showing potential continuation of mineralization onto the York claims. A noteworthy drill hole cut 89.9 meters grading 0.23 g/t gold. Further drilling is planned for the fall to explore these possibilities.
The acquisition terms include a payment of US$10,000 to Emergent's subsidiary, a US$50,000 promissory note, and issuing of 2,000,000 shares. A 1% NSR royalty on the York claims was granted to Emergent, which Lahontan can buy out within specified time frames.
