KSB Records Modest Quarter in Complex Market Conditions
The beginning of 2026 was marked by a challenging quarter for KSB SE & Co. KGaA as geopolitical factors affected revenue and profits. The pump and valve manufacturer saw a substantial increase in order intake, boosted by securing a significant energy order.
Orders for KSB reached €1,012 million, a 15.2% rise compared to the previous year. The Pumps Segment led this growth with a 31% increase. However, Sales revenue was nearly stagnant, showing a 0.4% rise to €712 million, with mixed results across different segments.
EBIT for KSB was €39.8 million, down from €45.5 million last year, partly due to the SAP S/4HANA migration costs. The CEO, Dr. Stephan Timmermann, highlighted economic challenges and emphasized KSB's strategic resilience amidst ongoing global economic uncertainties.
