Kontron Partners with Intel for Edge AI Growth

Kontron AG has announced its collaboration with Intel to expand its footprint in the edge AI market. The new Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 3, known as Panther Lake, integrates CPU, GPU, and NPU on a single chip, enhancing industrial AI applications with more compact and efficient IoT solutions. This collaboration aims to lower complexity and improve cost-effectiveness, targeting sectors like robotics, automation, defense, and aviation.

Kontron's VX30101, a high-performance computing board designed for real-time edge AI applications, will launch in Q3 2026. The partnership with Intel marks a strategic move for Kontron, which released its first products using this architecture in early 2026.

Philipp Schulz, Kontron Executive Board member, emphasized the growth potential of edge AI, noting the Panther Lake's ability to bring AI performance to the edge. This partnership is a foundational step in Kontron's strategic development in the AI sector.
