Kolmar Korea Secures Legal Victory in Sun Care Technology Dispute
Kolmar Korea has won a legal battle against Intercos Korea over the unauthorized leakage of sun care technologies. The Supreme Court of Korea ruled against Intercos Korea, ordering them to bear full legal costs. This reinforces the seriousness of misappropriating proprietary technology.
The court ordered Intercos Korea and a former Kolmar employee, involved in the leakage, to pay KRW 31.2 million. The dispute began in 2018 when the employee transferred to Intercos, unlawfully taking valuable research materials. In 2024, the court finalized guilty verdicts for those involved and fined Intercos Korea for violating trade secret laws.
