KNDS and SeaOwl Partner to Develop Advanced Surface Drone

At Euronaval 2026, KNDS and SeaOwl Technology Solutions have announced a strategic cooperation to develop an innovative unmanned surface vehicle (USV). This project aims to enhance offensive and defensive naval capabilities through advanced loitering munitions developed by KNDS.

This partnership combines KNDS's expertise in precision munitions with SeaOwl's skills in maritime robotics and autonomous systems. The resulting surface drone boasts a speed of 35 knots and a 30 kg payload, with a 200 km operational range. Its stealth capabilities and cyber-secure architecture are significant features, allowing it to operate in contested areas under strict human control.

This collaboration aligns with KNDS’s goal of transferring its ballistic expertise to maritime platforms and meets the current challenges faced by naval forces through SeaOwl’s integration of reliable ballistic capabilities.
