KBC Group finalizes the acquisition of Business Lease in Czechia and Slovakia

On February 10, 2026, KBC Group NV, along with ČSOB Leasing in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, announced the completion of its acquisition of Business Lease in those two countries. The transaction, valued at €72 million, has received approval from the competition authorities. This acquisition strengthens KBC's leasing business in Central Europe.

By integrating Business Lease, ČSOB Leasing aims to become a major player in fleet management, managing approximately 15,000 vehicles in the Czech Republic and 10,000 in Slovakia. Johan Thijs, CEO of KBC, emphasizes that this acquisition accelerates growth and enables them to offer innovative leasing solutions to their customers.

Aleš Blažek, CEO of KBC in the Czech Republic, adds that this integration will strengthen their market offering, while Daniel Kollár of ČSOB Slovakia welcomes the solidification of their position in the Slovak leasing market. The AutoBinck Group, a business lease provider, sees this sale as a strategic move in a consolidating market.
