Kapsch TrafficCom Revenue Dip in 2025/26 Amidst Restructuring Plans
Kapsch TrafficCom, a leader in transportation solutions, reported a decline in revenue for the financial year 2025/26, impacted by a weak tolling market and project delays. The annual revenue dropped by 19% to EUR 431 million, with EBIT falling to EUR 6 million from the previous year's adjusted EUR 7 million due to necessary impairment. Despite an 82% increase in other operating income, primarily from a German one-off effect, the revenue shortfall was not offset.
Efforts are underway to address these challenges, including a standstill agreement with lenders and a comprehensive restructuring planned through March 2028. For 2026/27, revenue and EBIT are expected to surpass the previous year, bolstered by secured new orders totaling EUR 496 million. The hiring of Markus Richter as CFO marks a strategic move to guide the ongoing restructuring.
