Kapsch TrafficCom Revises Financial Outlook After Disappointing Results

In a recent announcement, Kapsch TrafficCom AG revealed that its preliminary business figures for the first three quarters of the financial year 2025/26 significantly missed expectations. The company's revenues are anticipated to be around EUR 307 million, with earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) at approximately EUR 12 million. Notably, EBIT includes a positive one-off effect of approximately EUR 23 million from the first quarter.

The tolling industry is experiencing unexpected global weakness, coupled with project delays due to customer-related issues. As a result, Kapsch TrafficCom has revised its financial year 2025/26 outlook. The new expectations are revenues at around EUR 420 million, down from the initially projected EUR 450 million, and EBIT of about EUR 7 million, reduced from the previous forecast of EUR 25 million.

Despite a robust order intake over the past ten months, the company estimates these will impact revenues only in the financial year 2026/27 and beyond. Consequently, Kapsch TrafficCom is focusing on cost adjustments, expected to take full effect next year.
