Kalo Gold Identifies New Gold Occurrence at Wainikoro
Kalo Gold Corp. has announced a promising new gold occurrence at Kope Road North within its Vatu Aurum Project in Fiji. A follow-up sampling has resulted in a detectORE™ field-screening outcome of 16,361 dU, approximately equivalent to 16.36 g/t of gold. Additional gold responses have been detected in the surrounding area, indicating broader mineralization potential.
Key details of the discovery include samples yielding notable gold signals such as 3,956 dU and 2,110 dU. Kope Road North is located 900 meters from the New Vein Cluster, revealing potential for expanded exploration. A gradient IP survey is completed, with continued CSAMT surveying and trenching underway. Road upgrades are ongoing to prepare for drilling scheduled for January 2027.
While detectORE™ values offer semi-quantitative results, they provide essential insights for refining the geological model at Wainikoro. CEO Terry L. Tucker expresses confidence in the targeted exploration, as systematic drilling marks a vital stage in confirming the area's mineral potential.
