Kalo Gold Reports High-Grade Discoveries at Wainikoro, Fiji
Kalo Gold Corp. announced promising results from rock sampling at a newly identified target in Wainikoro, Fiji. Seven samples from the "New Vein Cluster" revealed gold assays reaching 7.83 g/t and silver up to 108 g/t. The samples were extracted from two sets of intersecting epithermal quartz veins spanning 15 meters in strike length. Both sets are obscured by overburden, lying northeast of the Wainikoro graben structure.
These findings point to multiple episodes of veining and hydrothermal activity. The veins possess low-sulphidation epithermal characteristics with elevated levels of arsenic, antimony, lead, and zinc. Kalo Gold plans further geological mapping, trenching, and geophysical surveys to explore the extent of mineralization.
These efforts are part of a larger exploration initiative aimed at understanding structural relationships within the Wainikoro area, potentially expanding exploration opportunities.
