Kalo Gold Discovers New Quartz Veins and Mercury Anomalies at Wainikoro

Kalo Gold Corp., based in Vancouver, has announced an important exploration update from the Wainikoro area within its Vatu Aurum Project in Fiji. The company's ongoing programs are honing drill targets at Wainikoro, where recent work has unveiled multiple mercury anomalies and new quartz veins, reinforcing Kalo's epithermal system model in the area.

The discovery of these mercury anomalies, located near major fault structures, suggests pathways for hydrothermal fluids during mineralization. This indicates a preserved, relatively un-eroded level of the epithermal system. This revelation aligns with other findings, such as hydrothermally altered rocks, low-temperature celadonite alteration, and anomalous gold values, enhancing the confidence in potential drill targets.

Kalo Gold's CEO, Terry L. Tucker, described these findings as particularly promising, noting that independent datasets are converging into a cohesive exploration strategy. As development continues, the integration of geophysical surveys aims to provide further clarity on subsurface structures, potentially unveiling richer targets beneath the current level of exposure.
