JP Morgan Chase crosses the 10% threshold in Ubisoft
On September 21, 2026, JP Morgan Chase & Co. announced that it had crossed the 10% threshold of Ubisoft Entertainment's share capital. This increase resulted from a market acquisition completed on September 17, 2026. JP Morgan now holds 13,703,569 shares, representing 10.06% of Ubisoft's share capital and 9.26% of its voting rights.
JP Morgan also specified the details of its positions, including call and put options, equity contracts, and convertible bonds. In total, the firm borrowed 4,630,644 Ubisoft shares to manage its derivatives risks. It has no plans to take control of the company, nor any intention of influencing its governance.
The allocation of shares held is primarily handled by JP Morgan Securities plc, with various hedging strategies involving options contracts. The company maintains that it does not have a predetermined strategy regarding Ubisoft.
