Jordan to Host EU Investment Conference 2026 Under Royal Patronage
The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan will host the Jordan–EU Investment Conference on April 21, 2026, at the Dead Sea. This event, held under the patronage of King Abdullah II, will feature the participation of Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission. It emphasizes the deepening economic ties between the EU and Jordan amid regional uncertainties.
The conference aims to present €3 billion in EU-backed investment opportunities across key sectors, including water security, green energy, and digital infrastructure. These efforts align with Jordan's Economic Modernization Vision to position the kingdom as a trusted investment destination.
The conference will also highlight Jordan's strategic position as a gateway to regional and global markets, benefiting from extensive trade agreements. Minister of Investment Dr. Tareq Abu Ghazaleh emphasizes structured business engagements to foster investments. EU Ambassador Pierre-Christophe Chatzizavas noted the event marks a strengthened partnership, promoting increased EU investment in Jordan.
